Interview with Oggi Tomic, BAFTA-winning filmmaker

Abandoned in Sarajevo as a baby, Cambridge-based filmmaker Oggi Tomic spent his childhood in government orphanages in the midst of a brutal war. His double BAFTA-award winning documentary Finding Family, co-directed with Chris Leslie, saw him return to Bosnia in search of answers – and to meet his mother for the first time.

Here, he talks to What’s On Cambridge about using film and photography to confront the past and build a better future for the country he calls home.

Finding Family is screening as part of the Cambridge Film Festival at 5.30pm on Friday 5th September at the Arts Picturehouse.
