If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids this Sunday, head over to the Cambridge Arts Theatre, where Watershed’s inventive production of Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play is showing for the final Cambridge date of its national tour.
The show uses puppets, live action and creative set design to depict Lauren Child’s much-loved children’s characters on a sweet and funny journey through the seasons. Described as “a real delight” by the Sunday Telegraph, the play is suitable for children aged two and upwards.
At £12.50 a ticket (with no concessions), it’s a touch on the pricey side for a children’s show, but having been a huge hit with grown-up critics and audiences, you may well find it as much a treat for you as for your kids!
Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play is showing at 10.30am and 1pm today at the Cambridge Arts Theatre.
