World-class printmakers gather in Cambridge for unique exhibition

Cambridge is home to some of the most respected printmakers on the planet. Now, for the first time, their talents will be showcased together in a week of exhibitions, workshops and talks.

41 established and emerging printmakers from the Cambridge area, including Charlotte Cornish, Ross Loveday, Geri Waddington and Andy English, will take part in the event, with many of these presenting special demonstrations of their craft.

Master printmakers such as Stanley Jones, whose long career has seen him work with David Hockney, Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore, will be giving free talks on their techniques and influences. Printmaking classes will also be on offer from the three major Print Houses based in and around Cambridge, Kip Gresham Editions, St. Barnabas Press and the Curwen Print Study Centre, which will also be showcasing their print editioning and studio facilities.

All work exhibited by the printmakers and artists involved in the event will be for sale, so to snap up a precious piece of Cambridge’s printmaking tradition, make sure that you head down to the event as soon as you can!
